whats going on

so i haven't been taking very many photographs lately, which is ironic as i started a photography program at algonquin college a month ago.

i'm very busy but it's going well.  we've been using 4x5 cameras, if anyone is familliar with them - they're kind of a hassle but very cool for large negatives and nice print.

i feel guilty admitting it but i think i'm really more of a digital girl. i just find it easier, and enjoy it more.   of course it is important to know  film, manual settings, all the basics and things - but the industry is going digital fast.  

all the assignments we've been doing are sort of bland - for example, take a picture of a wall twice. overexpose the second shot by one stop, to see the difference...very technical and uncreative, but we have to get through all this first.

i almost cried in the darkroom yesterday when i realized i had to reshoot an assignment, ecause my nagtives got stuck together in the developping tank, and didn't process properly...but it's okay.

i am doing okay though, really. i dont have much free time but i just keep pushing myself. i really care about this, so it will work out.
